What Are Prompts

Prompts are saved instructions that tell an AI agent what data to pull from your connected accounts and how to present the answer. They turn a repeated analysis into one step your whole team can run the same way.

Without a prompt

  • You type "analyze my Google Ads" and the agent guesses which metrics matter.
  • You spend follow-up messages on date ranges, brands and format.

With a prompt

  • The instructions set the metrics, comparisons and delivery format.
  • Answers follow the same structure every time you run it.

Two kinds

  • Built-in prompts from InsightfulPipe, one set per data source. See Built in Prompts.
  • Custom prompts your workspace creates or customizes. See Custom Prompts.

Where to find them

  • The Prompt Library in the app, where you can copy, favorite, tag and customize prompts.
  • Inside your AI client, where agents list prompts with the prompts_menu tool.
