Prompts
Prompts are saved instructions that tell an AI agent what to analyze and how to format the answer. The Prompt Library holds built-in prompts that every workspace can use, plus custom prompts your team creates.
Two kinds of prompts
- Built-in prompts: written by InsightfulPipe for a data source, with instructions and an expected delivery format.
- Custom prompts: created in your workspace with New Custom Prompt, or by using Customize on a built-in prompt.
What a prompt contains
- A prompt name and what it produces
- Prompt instructions for the agent
- An expected delivery format, such as a table or summary
- Data sources, tags and assigned brands
How agents use prompts
- Copy a prompt with Copy Prompt and paste it into your AI chat.
- Or ask the agent to call
prompts_menu, which lists prompts for a data source, and run the one you pick.
Who can change prompts
Owners, administrators and operators can create, edit and delete custom prompts. Any member can mark prompts as favorites.
