ChatGPT Setup
You can add InsightfulPipe to ChatGPT in two ways: install the InsightfulPipe app from the ChatGPT app directory, which connects all your connected accounts, or add one platform's server URL as an app in Developer mode.
Before you start
- At least one account connected in InsightfulPipe. See First Connection.
- For a single-platform connector, the server URL from MCP Servers in the app, for example
https://google-ads.insightfulmcp.com/. - For Developer mode, a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account on the web.
Fastest: the ChatGPT & Codex app
The listed app connects the full InsightfulPipe MCP with all your connected accounts, in both ChatGPT and Codex. There's no URL to paste and no Developer mode.
- Open the InsightfulPipe listing in the ChatGPT or Codex desktop app, or in your browser if the app isn't installed.
- Click Connect on the connector to start authorization.
- Click Authorize access in the browser to complete the connection.
Once connected, the app is available in both ChatGPT and Codex under the same account.
Add one platform in Developer mode
- Copy the server URL, for example
https://google-ads.insightfulmcp.com/. - In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to ChatGPT Plugins and select the + button.
- Enter a name, paste the URL under Connection and create the connection.
- When the sign-in opens, click Authorize access in the browser to complete the connection.
- Start a new chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu and select the app.
Select the app again from the + menu each time you start a new chat.
Tips
- Use
https://main.insightfulmcp.com/instead of a platform URL to reach every connected source through one connector. - ChatGPT only sees the accounts your InsightfulPipe role can access, and only the actions enabled for each account.
