Google Business Profile MCP connector

The Google Business Profile connector lets AI agents report on and manage your Business Profile locations through InsightfulPipe's hosted MCP server at https://google-my-business.insightfulmcp.com/ (server name google-my-business-mcp). It covers Maps and Search performance, monthly search keywords, reviews and replies, local posts, photos and location details.

Actions: 25 (16 read, 9 write). Workspace owners, admins and operators choose which actions each connected account exposes, and destructive actions are off by default.

Add it from a terminal, then click Authorize access in the browser window that opens:

What agents can do

Performance metrics: daily impressions split by desktop and mobile on Maps and Search, call clicks, website clicks, direction requests, conversations, bookings and food orders.
Search keywords: monthly impression counts for the searches that showed your profile.
Reviews: list reviews, reply or update a reply, and delete a reply.
Local posts: create event, offer and call-to-action posts, and list, edit or delete them.
Media: list, upload and delete photos and videos.
Location details: location metadata, attributes, categories, services, food menus and verification attempts.

Before you connect

A Google login with access to the Business Profile locations.

Connect Google Business Profile

In the InsightfulPipe app, open Connectors, choose Google Business Profile and click Connect.
Choose Read Only or Read + Write.
Sign in with Google and approve access.
Select the locations to connect.
Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or another client, then click Authorize access.

Permissions and safety

Replying to reviews, posting, uploading media and editing food menus need Read + Write.
Review replies and posts are public as soon as the action runs.
delete_local_post, delete_media and delete_review_reply are destructive, so they stay off until an owner, admin or operator enables them in Configure actions for this account.

Limits

Search keywords are monthly totals, not daily.
Photo view counts aren't available.
Metrics come one location at a time, so compare several stores by asking for each location.

Troubleshooting

A location is missing: check that your Google login manages it, then reconnect and select it.
"This account is connected read-only, so this action cannot be enabled for it." Reconnect with Read + Write to reply or post.
